Studio / About / Process

The studio
is the discipline.

ForgingStack is a one-discipline studio in San Antonio, Texas. We do not sell “AI magic.” We sell systems whose work can be checked after the fact — by you, by an auditor, or by the next engineer who inherits the run.

What we believe

  • A claim is not a result. Results carry evidence; claims carry adjectives.
  • Small is auditable. A stdlib-sized system can be read. A sprawling one can only be trusted.
  • Failure should close. When a contract breaks, the system should stop and say so — not drift quietly.
  • The receipt is the product. Code without an audit trail is a story. Code with one is a record.

What we do not do

  • — No black-box demos that cannot be re-run.
  • — No synthetic benchmarks presented as real outcomes.
  • — No “trust us” as a substitute for evidence.
  • — No system we would not audit ourselves, in public, if asked.

If your project needs the opposite of that list — a quick demo, a big claim, a quiet drift — we are the wrong studio, and we will say so on the first call.

Process — scroll to move through time

Four phases. One timeline.

  1. 01 · Week 0–1

Discover — what has to be proven?

We start with the claim that matters and the evidence that would prove it. If “done” cannot be stated as a checkable claim, it is not a brief yet — it is a wish.

  2. 02 · Weeks 1–4

Forge — build small, bind the spec

We build the smallest system that does the job, with the spec bound to the run. Dependencies stay small and named, because every dependency is a trust decision.

  3. 03 · Weeks 3–5

Prove — test against real traffic

Tests run against real recordings and real runs, not synthetic happy paths. A failing test is a success: it found the drift before a user did.

  4. 04 · Week 5+

Ship — with a receipt, not a promise

Shipping means handing over the system plus its audit trail: what it did, what it cited, and where it failed closed. The receipt is part of the delivery.

Reduced motion: the timeline is fully readable without the scrub — the fill line is enhancement only, and GSAP/Lenis are not loaded at all when reduced motion is on.
